Sleeping on the back seat: Hybrid Topper

For buses and vans, we generally don’t recommend sleeping on a topper alone. However, if you have very limited space and, for example, sleep on a folded-down back seat that you’d like to make more even and supportive, our Hybrid Topper is the solution.

With its Natural Hybrid Foam in a medium firmness level, it helps eliminate uneven areas of your back seat and creates a smoother, more supportive lying experience. Available in low heights, it’s the perfect alternative for your van when you need an upgrade to your sleeping surface.

You’ve built your own DIY bed or have a base structure, maybe even with slats? Then we recommend the Vanmade® Original Mattress. For high sleeping comfort, a mattress offers significantly better structure and functionality than a low-height Hybrid Topper. With its durable underside and high-quality HR cold foam core, it’s the cozy all-rounder for all bed constructions.

Available in three different firmness levels, it gives you maximum flexibility in shaping your sleeping comfort. We recommend a height of at least 8 cm.

Can I roll the hybrid topper?

Yes, the 4 cm height can be rolled up, but it is more stiff. Anything beyond that becomes too difficult, as the hybrid topper is made of a more compact foam. Alternatively, choose folding edges to easily fold the hybrid topper.

How do Vanmade® toppers differ?

If you want to make your mattress or upholstery softer and sink in comfortably, the gel foam topper with a firmness rating of H1 is the ideal choice. Do you have an existing mattress that is a little too soft for you? Then the hybrid topper with a firmness rating of H3 can give you the support you need and make your mattress feel firmer.

What type of foam is used in the Hybrid Topper?

Our hybrid topper is made from natural hybrid foam – a high-resilience cold foam with the best properties of PU foam and sustainable raw materials. It has a density of 40 kg/m³. With the foam core, you can configure a firmer mattress topper with a firmness rating of H3, which offers you the support you need.

Do customised toppers fit in all vehicles?

Yes. Since our mattress toppers are individually tailored to your measurements and needs, you can be sure that they will fit perfectly in your camper, caravan or motorhome. No matter what shape or space you have, your topper will be ideally tailored to it.

Can I sleep on the hybrid topper alone?

We generally recommend viewing the hybrid topper as a supplement. If your existing mattress is too soft and you would like a firmer sleeping surface, the hybrid topper is the perfect upgrade. Alternatively, you can use only the hybrid topper in 6 cm or 8 cm height if your space is very limited, but the lying comfort is significantly higher with a mattress.
